Quantum Hard Disk Drives

Make sure you bolt your hard disk drive securely to your computer case as the metal computer case acts as a heat sink.

Also make sure that you fit it in such a place that there is adequate ventilation around the drive that it is not packed tightly to any other drives you may have. If in doubt provide a supply of air by using a small fan. And of course make sure that it is mounted either vertically or horizontally as per the manufactures instructions.
